Ms. Nat Interactive Storytelling Session

Join Ms. Nat at Kedai Mainan Makcik Pot Pet for a 20-minute interactive storytelling experience thoughtfully designed for young children and their families.

Each session brings together familiar sing-along moments, gentle dry sensory play, and a lively retelling of the Malay folk story “Singapura Dilanggar Todak” (Singapore Attacked by Swordfish). Conducted in both English and Malay, it’s a playful and accessible way for little ones to experience language, rhythm, and culture.

This programme is part of Pesta Pecah Panggung, presented in celebration of the reopening of the Malay Heritage Centre, and is organised by LalooLalang.

Interactive Storytelling Experience with Ms. Nat

Step into a playful retelling of the well-loved Malay folktale Singapura Dilanggar Todak (Singapore Attacked by Swordfish).

In this 30-minute session, children will sing, move, and take part in the story as it comes to life through voice, rhythm, and imagination. Designed especially for young children, this experience blends simple language, familiar tunes, and interactive moments to keep little ones engaged from start to end.

This session is thoughtfully designed to be welcoming for all families including those who may be new to Malay culture. Through storytelling, folk songs, and gentle use of both English and Malay, children are introduced to the richness of Malay heritage in a way that feels fun, accessible, and immersive.

Kedai Mainan Makcik Pot Pet is a kampung-inspired interactive play space where children are invited to explore, play, and discover at their own pace.

From playing congkak and lompat getah, to writing letters at Pos Surat, and uncovering old-school toys through a scoop-and-surprise experience, the booth brings back the joy of simple, meaningful play—while gently introducing elements of Malay cultural heritage in a fun and immersive way.
